My step mom passed away this eve.. at about 5:40 PM
I expect the services to be this weekend
I am glad she is not suffering now

Trust the Journey
Not to worry my dear friends. ..I am here and well
I have only 5 radiation treatments left
so next Tuesday will be my LAST !!
After that..just watching and testing me
(every two months for the brain, every three
months for the heart and every three weeks for
blood tests)
and the continuing Herceptin & Zometa
every three weeks.
I lost my spirit for a bit, too tired to do anything
or even care about doing stuff. I realized then, I just
have to trust my journey.
I have gotten some sweet gifts the past 2 weeks also
bringing me much joy. My friend Sally ..made a "Little Book of Joys"
as I was finding it hard to find some. I don't know why..I am not
depressed ..just tired. This too has passed.
I have a list of things to help a friend through her journey
Call to chat
Stop by to do laundry
Take her a milk shake
Cook a meal for her & the family
Get manicures & pedicures together
Wash her car
Add her to prayer chains
Ice cream sundaes are always fun
Shampoo her hair
Please Share your joys with me
& art you've been working on
Taking a Break
to contemplate life and health and my path on this journey. Don't worry,I'm fine, but I need to find joy. I will be getting closer to God & my purpose in Him.

Oh I love it.
So much fun today , first I went to
Dr . Jones, my plastic surgeon.
He opened up the spot, took a culture
gave me a prescription for a cream &
an oral antibiotic .
I go back in two weeks , unless it doesn't clear up.
Everyone there treats me like I'm a treasured friend.
I love it. Dr Denise , my breast surgeon was
in the lobby and we chatted for a bit. I just
love that woman! She's a breath of fresh air
as a doctor. So fun!!
Then my BIL took me to the Post Office to
get my "Dreaming With Deena" book
from the members of ZNE Art group.
It's SO awesome, full of love & caring
and wonderful art. It touched
my heart so much that folks care!!
My paper shoe arrived today..a hand made card
& notepad with pen from Susan & a card from
Betsy.
Then a short nap, & off to the movies
with
my youngest daughter , Mercedes. She wanted
to see Jumper. It was enjoyable & great to be with
Mercedes.
After the movie, we went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner
Yummy..I have grilled rice, yummy vegetables & hibachi shrimp
Oh so GOOD
Then we went to Bath & Body Works and I bought her some
True Blue Spa
Body Scrub & Bath Spa
It was great fun, but a tiring day.
I'll be sharing pics too!!
I feel so blessed, I love my life so much!!

Saturday will be my "bottom out" days.
I just got the biggest waive of exhaustion, so
if I don't post for a few days, just know
I'm resting . I'll be back..and for now

Glory to God
Tis a very COLD day here. Woke of to zero, and crunchy snow.
I feel amazingly good, slept good, no sickness , still have hair!!
Oh what a Sunday.
I'll be doing a few domestic things as my strength allows &
napping for sure.
Friday night Rich and I watched "3 10 to Yuma" with
Russell Crow, a remake of a 1957 western with Glenn Ford.
I enjoyed it, and there was always that glimmer of
hope for good in Ben Wade, Crowe's character.
Rich brother, Gary is coming to visit next Saturday...may not be good
for me, but I am hoping the boys will decided what to do with
their dad long term.
He's doing QUITE well at
his apartment at Independence Village, but he can
stay in that apartment for 4 months, then he'll need to
make a long term commitment.
I need to get working a bit
and talk Rich into making breakfast, cinammon rolls and boiled eggs, with some milk for me ..and water , water, water..

I slept great..with the aid of Ambien, up bright eyed
& bushy tailed at 5:15 AM.
Taking meds, drinking water, eating, got my goodie bag packed.
Rich is going to snow blow the drive..and hopefully the
snow plow will be through again in a bit.
We got about 6 inches or more..the schools are all closed.
I feel good about today..and I know I'll at LEAST get the
injection to start my bones hardening.
I want to THANK Dolly for my Valentine Swap box, Mollye for
my KING CAKE from Louisianne to celebrate Mardi Gras
Dana's friend Cyndi for the lotion for when Radiation begins.
