Vintage Chenille Elephants....so cute!

Who would've thought elephants could be this cute in sooo many colors... I've highlighted this shop, Vintage Chenille before, but I really wanted to feature the variety of plush elephants this time around! These handmade cuties make a great gift for babies & the best part is, they're only $15! Totally cute, totally affordable. Get yours at Vintage Chenille..

Fabric options

Today has NOT been a good day for me online. I am having major problems with my connection, mail server, browser and FTP...! I managed to get this post up with a little help from my production manager & on another computer. I received so many emails about fabric suggestions , so here are a few I recommend for a DIY headboard. Of course, it all depends on the color scheme of the room you want. But, you can always choose a fabric & work around it.

New York Times.....defining gorgeous.

The New York Times always amazes me with their Home & Garden section. For example, this huge residence (once a church) in the city.....wow. Can you imagine what it's like to live there? Do you notice how you can look out the large window while in the shower? Gorgeous, barely describes it.

Still Dreaming....

...of moving. Our place hasn't sold yet. Our real estate agent just rang saying he wanted to see us because he had a couple of offers. He didn't sound too happy so I am thinking they both low balled. We will see!

Love this dog bed. It is a new range at work. We are planning on getting a dog when we move and I think she would love this bed! It would be pretty easy to cover that cushion and the rattan gives it a casual french provencial look.

Aren't these silver spoon herb markers lovely? They are from etsy (loving etsy more than ebay lately.)

Another thing I am planning on having in the new place; a blackboard wall or door in the kitchen. I think it would be a great use of a pantry door. I was toying with the idea of having a glass door to the pantry and show off lots of pretty jars and canisters but I don't think it would stay pretty with a husband and two young kids!

I have a pale blue chest on order which is very much like this one. What a great use for it!

I put in my last post that I wanted a blue door, but I think I now want a pink one!

My microwave is about to blow and I am actually quite happy about it. It is stainless steel and shows every finger mark. There is not much out there in the microwave world that makes me excited. All these pictures are for ones available overseas. I think the best I am going to get here is a white one.

This is me from about ten years ago. I am on a weight loss mission and this is what I am aiming for! I am going to have to literally work my ASS off!!!

One piece of art...by Fieldguided

I really like embroidered pieces of art, and this one is one of the cutest I've see so far! It's by artist Geoff and Anabela of Fieldguided. With electric blue thread & pretty floral fabric, this will make a perfect gift for anyone! (Quote by Joanna Newsom).

Teacup Tuesday - Week 19

Yep... It's that time once again.

Teacup Tuesday is back for an amazing 19th week and it's time for me to share yet another teacup from my collection.

It will come as no surprise when you see that this weeks featured teacup is covered in a beautiful rose pattern. This teacup is not stamped on the bottem with the name of the pattern, but it does have a stamp indicating it was manufactured by Royal Winchester in England.

The roses are such a pretty shade of pink and they blend so beautifully with the white flowers and green leaves.

Teacup Tuesday will only be continuing for a few more weeks as I am running ou of teacups to share for this event, so it will eventually have to come to an end. However, I may not end the Tuesday tea theme altogether, at least not for a while anyways.. Once I run out of teacups to show, I may start sharing my collection of teapots. Would you like to see those next??

Besides myself, I know that these wonderful ladies also share a love of all things related to tea and they would love to have you stop by for a visit to see what they are sharing for this weeks Teacup Tuesday...

Lofty spaces...

Living Etc. Magazine always manages to showcase some amazing spaces. Living in an open space has always been a dream of mine, well, I did live in a loft space once in New York & it was quite an experience! I remember the best part was that we had an entire wall of windows, so beautiful. I'm aware lofts aren't for everyone & they aren't all gorgeous, it's raw space & you have to like the style. Have you ever lived in a loft space? Would you consider living in one???

These were a few of my favorites from the
Living Etc. website, hope you enjoy them!

Soft Shades of Pink.......

Hello Ladies...

Did you all have a good week this week? I did for the most part, except for a few minor things that I had no control over and which sort of spoiled part of my days on Thursday and Friday which I had planned as vacation days. The days were not a total loss though and it was still nice being away from work for a few extra days, so there is much to be thankful for in that.

I've turned into somewhat of a blog slacker again and I haven't been very good about posting as often as I would like to. Didn't want to go too long without a new post, so I quick snapped a few new pictures this morning to share today.

Nothing special, just some random pinkness to add a little bright spot to your day.

This lovely vase is one I found in an antique shop several weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to sharing yet. The vase itself is cream colored and the rose is the softest shade of pink...

More pink with my sweet little bunny, a pink milkglass compote and a white milkglass vase that holds a bundle of artificial creamy pink roses...

And finally, some more pink pretties including a smaller version of the pink milkglass compote that I showed above, a cute little jar that I found at Micheal's this past spring which I have filled with some pink buttons, and a darling little planter in the shape of a baby bootie..

Not totally sure yet what this day is going to bring, but I have a strong feeling that it's going to entail some retail therapy at one or two antique shops. Gotta find some more pink pretties to add to my collections... LOL.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by for a visit.
